A Visit to the Baby Elephant and Rhino Sanctuary
We enjoyed spending a morning visiting with 24 baby elephants that had been rescued and sent to the sanctuary. Most of their mothers had been killed by poachers. The youngest were only a few weeks old! The elephants will be bottle fed and cared for here until they are around three years old. Then, they will be reintroduced into the wild. We also saw two rescued rhinos!
